Liquidating the Assets

Well I am at camp now, arrived here sunday night, set up monday morning, the kids showed up yesterday and now it is Tuesday afternoon. I was a bit sick sunday night, sorry if the title offends anyone now that you understand the context. In the business world, when you are liquidating assets, stock moves fast. Lets just say I was an entrepreneur for an afternoon...

Feeling great now though, and especially now that the first bible study and english class have gone well. I was REALLY unsure and quite anxious (which turns me really into a depressed hermit I think...) about it, or maybe I just had a terrible attitude about it, I don't know. This morning I did not want to be here, but at the same time I totally wanted to be here. It was a stupid internal conflict, and now that it is done (for today) I am grateful for the chance to be a part of something like this. It seems like such a trivial thing once you are past it, it being those situations that you really wish you didn't have to deal with or face.

My bible study group are almost all Chrisitians, at least 5 of the 8 I would say. That was quite well, lots of laughs. The best part about being here is that you get to laugh twice as much. Once when everyone else laughs and then once again after they explain to you why they are laughing. Come to think of it I don't have to be in another country to experience that, I just need to spend an evening with Amber, Kels, and Caitlin. They don't laugh like Russians do though...that would be interesting...

MY english class consists of 6 girls. I think some of them like me because one of them interrupted me mid sentance during an important explanation and asked if I had email, and they all were like "YA, e-mail???". What can you do? I don't get it... I am glad for it though, because it makes it WAY easier to teach them, they don't ignore me outright which would be really stupid.

I gotta run, but hope life is treating you well on that side of the ocean. I'll do another one before the week is up for sure. And just in case you were wondering, the toilet paper at camp is like those party streamers, only wider, tougher, brown, and less stretchy. Just as festive though, trust me :)

Later my Canadian bretheren! God is God wherever we are!
